At the end of 2020, I ventured into crypto trading without any prior investment knowledge. My first experience was investing in Dogecoin at a price of 28 and selling it at 54, making a good profit. However, driven by speculation rather than strategy, I eventually lost money. This was a hard lesson, but it led me to a crucial realization—I needed to earn money with effort rather than luck.
Learning the Value of Hard Work
To rebuild, I started working in ODC (One Day Catering), a temporary job where I worked in hotels and marriage gardens, handling tasks like cleaning tables, serving starters, and assisting wherever needed. In four days, I earned ₹2,400, which I reinvested in crypto—only to lose it again. This setback left me feeling low until a friend shared a valuable perspective: "If you lose money, consider it as tuition fees for learning." That thought shifted my mindset, pushing me to focus on acquiring real knowledge rather than chasing quick gains.
The Transition to Content Creation
Determined to learn, I started writing news blogs. Blogging gave me the motivation to stay consistent, as the potential future benefits kept me engaged. Initially, I copied news articles and republished them on my website, which worked well for a year and received good responses. However, over time, I lost discipline and wasted hours binge-watching web series, stalling my progress. I later realized that inconsistency is one of the biggest enemies of growth, whether in business or personal development.
Experiments with Investment and Structured Learning
In 2023, I took a job and invested my first salary in ITC stocks—only to face losses again. This failure taught me another critical lesson: the importance of structured learning. Taking a well-designed course can accelerate understanding and help bypass the trial-and-error phase. Instead of figuring everything out alone, a structured learning path provides direct access to practical knowledge and proven strategies.
I worked at ITC Hotels for four months before deciding to prepare for the CAT exam. Unfortunately, I didn't score well, and after giving it another shot, I still didn’t achieve the desired results. These setbacks, however, built resilience. I realized that failure isn’t the opposite of success—it’s part of the journey toward it.
Stepping into the Business World
Eventually, I joined my family business with a renewed vision—to take it to new heights. Given my background in hospitality management, I also saw an opportunity to venture into the restaurant and hotel industry. After all, what would be the point of my education if I didn't utilize it?
Once I immersed myself in the business, I realized a unique advantage—I had knowledge of content writing, AI, and the upcoming digital era. This combination sparked an idea: to position my business as a middleman, much like Infra.Market or IndiaMART. Both these businesses leverage technology and strong relationships with manufacturers and customers. Understanding manufacturers' pain points allows me to craft strategies that bridge gaps between production and demand, ultimately driving growth.
The Vision Ahead
I now recognize that every experience—whether positive or negative—has contributed to my knowledge. My goal is not just to build a profitable business but to create something that stands at the intersection of technology, innovation, and customer needs.
I want to integrate AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency in traditional industries like granite manufacturing. I also see opportunities in combining blockchain with supply chain transparency, ensuring seamless transactions between manufacturers and buyers. The lessons from my journey—embracing failure, continuous learning, and leveraging technology—shape my path forward.
Time and opportunities go hand in hand. While I have faced setbacks, each experience has been a stepping stone toward understanding how business, technology, and learning intersect. The journey continues, and with every challenge, I refine my vision for the future. The best part? This is just the beginning.
